I told ya so!

We're leaving to take a trip home this weekend to Oklahoma. They've been having a cool spell making the start of summer a little easier to slide into. I was actually looking forward to going home to escape this muggy, oppressive heat in Louisiana. No such luck. Oklahoma is predicted to get into the high 80's this weekend. And this area of Louisiana is getting a cold front and rain. *sigh* Figures. I jinxed myself by whining about it. At least Mr. Chelle's job here is almost finished and we're moving on in a couple of weeks. My teen is almost out of school for the summer and I'll be having to find things to entertain the boys. I'm sure we can find some fun to get into in Tennessee;) Watch out...here we come!

Ok. Deep breath. Focus. No more whining because it's time to get back to work. I was working on my chapter yesterday and hero whispered in my ear again and distracted me. How could I not listen? He revealed something else that happened when he was a wild child and gives me more insight as to why he hates his father. So I just kept typing the entire time he spilled his guts. Today...I get to cut and paste his rambling into my rough synopsis file and try to figure out where I was at in the chapter.

Coffee made...first cup down...go!

Have a productive day guys;)

Thanks! Do you move alot? It must be so hard to do. We worked for a church building company for awhile and I couldn't take it living out of a hotel. UGh.
But now I am open to anything:))
Enjoy your day. I made a lot of progress already on mine.

Terri:) No...my hubby is a welder and works for a company that builds water towers. They travel every 3-4 months between job sites. We have a 5th wheel trailer that he lives in when on the job. My 6 yo and I usually visit him often but this job is 10 hours from our home in Oklahoma. We've been staying with him here for about a month and the job is almost complete. When he goes to Memphis for the next job...little man and I will stay home mostly and hubby will drive back and forth.

My hero has been remarkably silent. I wrote two pages in his POV yesterday and you know what? It was all TELLING. Ugh...but that's okay. He's kind of charming and super cute, so I'll forgive him for being so quiet. I think my heroine could coax him into a conversation if she would stop hating his guts to much :) Glad to her you made progress.

Oh no - sorry you're having a hard time escaping the heat! The weather hasn't been too bad here yet, it seems like every time it starts to heat up a cold front comes along with some rain to bring the temps back down.

Good luck with the WIP, it sounds like your Hero is giving you some good stuff to work with!

Have a safe trip. Tell HERO to be quiet long enough for you to get some work done. Sheeesh! ;)

You're getting closer and closer to me. Tennessee isn't all that far. Maybe, just maybe I can talk the man into driving down. This month is going to be crazy though. But we seriously need to get together. Heck, after school is out, the kids and I could drive down. We'll see.

So glad that you're writing. Very, very proud of you!

Where in Tennessee are you going? Have you ever heard of Pigeon Forge. We went there when we first moved to Atlanta. It wasn't my cup of tea, but country music lovers and kids LOVE it! Here's the link:

Rae ~ I say go for it!!! Does "M" have vacation? If not, just throw the kids and Odee in the van and come on! The RV camp has a swimming pool. Mr. Chelle said we'd probably be in Memphis two months so it would be during the kids summer break.

I finished outlining the chapter. Just need to go back and layer in dialogue and details.

Chicki ~ I've been there but it's been a REALLY long time...pre-kids and marriage;) It's a beautiful area but I imagine the tourist stuff has changed over the years. We might try it during one of Mr. Chelle's 5 day breaks. This job is smaller than most so we won't be there as long. The guys work 9 days on and 5 days off...which won't leave much time for play. The next job is in Oklahoma and only 30 miles from our house:)))

Cindy ~ Sometimes the quiet, silent type has the most to say once they relax! Have fun coaxing it out of him. That's my favorite part.:)

Steph! Thanks, sweetie-pie:) We're so excited about going home and sleeping in our bed. This trailer is comfortable but there's nothing like home.

Kate ~ Thanks, honey!! But we're from Oklahoma and used to summer heat...it's the humidity on top of the heat thats making it hard to breath. I feel sorry for Mr. Chelle welding out in this kind of heat.

Jennifer ~ This weekend is just a trip home. In a couple of weeks we'll have to move the 5th wheel to Memphis and it'll be a long ride in the truck with little man and two dogs. *sigh* I'll definitely take all the sympathy I can get:)

Lynnette ~ LOL! Hero was a good guy most of the day. I finally figured out where I wanted the chapter to go and will start layering detail today if I get some time.
