Not a bad day. Just not a productive one. I got up with great intentions of getting something accomplished today. Little man easily distracted me by insisting he NEEDED to go swimming this morning. And then it was like I had water on the brain and just kinda lost track after that. At least we had a great sandwich at McAlister's Deli and their sweet tea is to die for. The weather was a little warm but we enjoyed running our errands. And Jennifer tempted me by changing her blog design...so of course it inspired me to play around with mine;)
Thanks for all of your well wishes for mom. She's still feeling under the weather but we go tomorrow to talk with the doc's about the surgery on her neck. Hopefully everything will go as planned and we can proceed on with doing something about her stomach.
Hubby comes home Thursday night for 5 days so I'll try to get as many pages down as possible. Good thing is that he'll take little man on Sunday and go fishing with his dad, so they'll both be out of my hair for the day and I can crank out some pages. I went to the Southern Cross SoCNoC challenge page to update my measly word count and was blown away by how many people had logged close to or over 30k words already! One of my crit partners included. WOW!! Kickin' some major word count booty guys. Rock on!! One person already had 42k...in 15 days!! Wish I could channel Speedy Gonzales...

We had a McAlister's Deli here, but they didn't make it and closed after a year in business.
Glad to hear you'll be able to have some uninterrupted writing time, and the guys will get some bonding time.
How's Dylan, BTW?
I love your blog design--especially the little hearts that dangle!
Terri ~ Thank you! I thought this template would be fitting since I write romance;)
Chicki ~ McAlisters hasn't been open long here...maybe 6 months. I'm hoping they last but their business looks as if it's already slacked off. Dylan is being good now that I'm home. But I'm wondering how much of it was mom because she has gotten really grouchy since her health has gone downhill. He's being a typical teen and wanting to stay up late. He's really good compared to some of the horror stories I'm hearing about friends and their teens. But he's at a stage now that I need to be here for him. He won't admit it...but he often comes in to just sit and talk. He's going to Memphis with me when I go back to visit. Kris will be home during this break and maybe the 4th of July...not sure if we'll go there or he'll come home.
We have several McAllister's Delis here, and you're right - they're sweet tea is delicious! I have actually become a huge sweet tea fan since transplanting to the South - it is just too hard to resist!
I hear so much about sweet tea - but I've never had it. Got a recipe for that?
Hope your having a great week! :)
Oh, yummo! DD...during the summer I make sun tea alot. I've got a glass container with a spigot (sp?) and I'll fill it with water. I drape two family size tea bags inside with the strings hanging out and put the lid on. I'll leave it out on the patio for a couple of hours. Then when it's about the color we like (strength), I'll put a cup of Splenda in it to sweeten it. I used to put a cup of regular sugar but we're trying to be watchful of our calories. Then I'll refrigerate it and it's usually gone by evening and I'll start all over again. :) You can also make it in a coffee maker. I put the tea bags in where the coffee goes and make it like we do coffee. Pour it in container with sugar.
