TGIF

I can't believe the weekend is here already. And on top of that...April is at an end and my oldest will be out of school in a few weeks. Which is scary because it'll mean alot of sibling bickering while I'm trying to write. I was hoping my new RA meds would kick in and take away some of the health issues I'm dealing with, no such luck. But I am determined to push through with my writing. My hands are so swollen that I can't even wear my wedding ring. *sigh* I think I'm at least learning how to read my body and how to schedule my outings and activities. Hubby gives me the shots on Saturday when he can be home to help with the kiddos and the chores. I'm also learning to let go and ask for help around the house. My mom has been a real trooper and calls everyday to see what needs to be done, or just to see how I'm feeling. We know that the first three days are pajama days. It helps that the oldest can drive himself to school and helps with the 7 yo during the week.

On the writing side...I'm taking one day at a time. I've set goals and timelines, and joined several challenges to push myself. I have a pitch coming up at my OKRWA mini-conference in June. Not sure what I'm pitching yet...I'm thinking my western historical. We've got an editor from Harlequin coming, and an agent from the Knight Agency. Woohoo!! I've also committed myself to writing a novella with some of my OKRWA sisters, and a short story challenge with some writing buddies.

So....starting Monday morning, I'm planning to get up before kiddos and get my social media out of the way, leaving the rest of the day to work on deadline materials. I'm hoping I can push myself to be more consistent with my blogging. This should be interesting!

Have a beautiful weekend!!

I hope you feel better, too. A western historical, that sounds interesting :)

All the best with your new challenges and the conference.

I'm sorry that the new meds aren't working like you hoped they would.
God bless your mom for being there for you.

Those state conferences are often better when it comes to meeting agents. I hope you get a bite!

Patricia ~ Thanks so much!! We have the conferences every other year. I had just joined our chapter when we had the last one. It was pretty intimidating.

Karen ~ Thanks, sweetie! Happy May to you! I love this time of year. ;)

Thank you, Cindy! I might try to post an excerpt or two after I get these two shorts completed.

Chicki ~ I think the meds may be working to some extent. My knees and elbows aren't hurting right now and I've had several good days in a row! And Mom is a true blessing.

I'm hoping I'll have the best chance with the historical. We'll see.
